Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration towards improved welfare of the civil servants.

He was speaking at this year’s May Day celebration for the Workers, with the theme “People First,” orgsnised by the state chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC and Trade Union Congress TUC.

According to him his government would continue to give special attention to hard work and commitment to duty by workers in the payroll of the state.

Governor Uba Sani therefore commended the NLC and TUC for encouraging civil servants and all category of workers to put in their best towards improved socio economic development.

He then identified the May Day Celebration as an avenue for gingering workers world over to fight for their rights towards enhanced performance.

Shortly after the ceremony in an interview with Comrd. Pukat Ayuba Barde Zonal Organizing Secretary, of National Union of Electricity Employee (NUEE) North West zone Express dismay over the segregation of customers into bands by the DISCOS despite the increments of price of their product,

He however, warned their staff not to engage anybody in fighting during distribution of bills to consumers they should know how to approach an angry customers, because Electricity supply is not promptly so customers are annoyed please report to the Management to take appropriate measures incase of any mis understanding he added.

Moreover, In his own part Comrd. Beno Ahmadu  Kaduna State Vice Chairman Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria ( MHWUN)  shows his gratitude to Almighty for colourful and successful event with the present of Gov. Uba Sani, his Deputy Sabuwa Balarabe and almost all Kaduna State Commissioners, unlike before, for the past eight years no single State official ever attended this May Day ceremony, but this one is an exceptional and we thank God that, also we are hoping a good future with the Gov. Uba Sani’s administration and we are waiting to hear from him the new living wages not minimum wage is living wages we are expecting
